Donkey Marble Cheese Platter

At Anthologist, the donkey is part of Anthologist's culture, and their founder’s affinity for the beloved island animal runs deep to her childhood. On her first trip to Greece in 1984, she fell in love with donkeys, and on an overnight layover in Frankfurt, her mother bought her a Steiff stuffed animal donkey, which she aptly named “Guy” – short for gaidouri, which is Greek for donkey.

The Anthologist Donkey Marble Cheese Platter combines old world craftsmanship with everyday function. Use it for cheese, olives, crackers or whatever you wish. He’s always a conversation starter.

All of our brass objects are hand-cast using ancient methods including sand molds. The last step of the production process is a hand-polishing to showcase each piece’s inherent brilliance. Some imperfections are natural.

• Brass and pre-mined marble with raw edge
• Dimensions: 9.5”L x 7.5”W (24cmL x 19cm W) Size is approximate as marble size may vary.
• Wipe with dry cloth or polish with brass cleaner. Marble should be cleaned with damp cloth. Please note that acid such as lemon juice will bleach the marble and change the color and texture of the surface. Do not place in dishwasher.
