Amount for daily use based on bird's weight:

• under 100g    = 1/4 scoop
• 100g - 250g   = 1/2 scoop
• 250g - 500g   = 3/4 scoop
• 500g - 1500g = 1 scoop
• over 1500g    = 2 scoops

 Milk Thistle & Dandelion Root is especially beneficial for birds which are or have recently been on a poor diet. This includes birds that eat a lot of seed, especially oil seeds like sunflower. It can also be birds which are on unbalanced diets like mostly seed, processed human foods(i.e. french fries), etc. Additionally, parrots will thrive better if given a liver detox regularly. This includes but is certainly not limited to conures and other South American parakeets (i.e. lineolated parakeets, Brotogeris spp.), many African species like lovebirds and Poicephalus spp., Amazon parrots, Fig parrots, Eclectus and many non-parrot birds like Mynah birds, Toucans, Jays, and Starlings. Liver detoxification can be a great idea for breeding birds, too!
