Compatible with gas, power vent, electric, and tank less heaters, the water heater booster with tempering valve and gauge mixes the tank’s hot water and cold water from the inlet to dilute the hot water down to a safe temperature of 120 degrees F (49 degrees C) before delivered to fixtures throughout the home. Mixing the hot water with cold water from the main supply means less hot water is required from the tank, therefore boosting the water heater’s capacity and the amount of usable hot water. Increasing the tank’s temperature to 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) or higher will help avoid impurity in the tank. Composed of lead free DZR brass, the heat guard hot water booster features innovative push to connect technology to allow for easy installation with PEX pipe, PE-RT, CPVC, and copper, with no soldering, glue or crimping necessary. ASSE 1017, ASSE 1070 and CSA B 125.
